But it's worth taking a trip on the heathland express even when the heath isn't in bloom. Children love the bright red engine. It travels along a total of three stretches of rail and the timetable is arranged so that you've got time for a picnic, a walk or to visit the nature trail at your destination.more


Bruchhausen-Vilsen Narrow Gauge Rail Museum

Moorland Express on the Teufelsmoor (Devil's Moor)

The Moorland express travels between Osterholz-Scharmbeck and Stade, also stopping in the artists' village of Worpswede.
