Rummage around and be amazed, look and discover, learn and understand - the museums and galleries of Niedersachsen are chock full of surprises. Niedersachsen's museums are as varied as their visitors. The state has more than 600 registered museums, to which can be added numerous private collections. There's plenty to discover. On land, water or in the air, modern or ancient, ornate or simple – there's an exhibition to suit every interest. Connoisseurs of art or those with a more historical bent will find just as much to their taste as the more technically orientated, who just want to get to the bottom of things.

And the museums of Niedersachsen have nothing in common with the dusty image of some museums! On the contrary, they ooze modernity or they lead the visitor into long forgotten worlds and ages.
